Upon returning to the village in the Ribes valley that he left behind, a man trapped between two lives discovers, through the nostalgic reopening of an abandoned video store, the fractures of a family memory built upon silences and absences. Meanwhile, the landscape and its inhabitants slowly reveal the traces of an uncomfortable past.

The presentation of the teaser will feature the presence of the series' crew, who will host a post-screening discussion followed by a Q&A session open to the audience.

Army of Lovers uncovers the story of the Sacred Band of Thebes, an elite Ancient Greek unit made up of 150 pairs of male lovers. After centuries of oblivion, the discovery of a mass grave containing 300 men buried with locked arms launches a fascinating archaeological investigation. A documentary that redefines the concepts of heroism, love, and masculinity in the ancient world.

The Day of the Apple (El dia de la poma) - On the outskirts of Tehran, the theft of the family truck leaves Saeed, Mahdi, and their parents in economic collapse. With a tone close to Iranian neorealism, this film explores poverty and inequality through a critical and deeply human lens. The movie led to the exile of its director and screenwriter Mahnaz Jarchi, who were welcomed to Barcelona by the No Callarem Artists at Risk project.

Screening in collaboration with the No Callarem Association. The screening will be followed by a discussion on the cultural situation in Iran featuring writer Mahhsa Mohebali and journalist Hossein Zoghi.

Through the testimonies of several Spanish female archaeologists, the recent past of the discipline is uncovered from a gender perspective. The personal experiences they narrate trace the shared journey of past, present, and future generations.

In Artsakh, a region historically disputed between Armenia and Azerbaijan, childhood coexists daily with the uncertainty of war.

Through the eyes of eleven-year-old Vrej, we witness how the innocence of children's games inevitably intersects with the echoes of a multigenerational military conflict. Filmmaker Sareen Hairabedian eschews wartime tropes to offer us an intimate, poetic, and deeply observational portrait of identity, the weight of territory, and growing up under an invisible yet constant threat.

This film is part of the Carta Blanca section, a special selection programmed by Anna Solà and Marta Selva, winners of the Gollut Festival Career Achievement Award (Premi Trajectòria).

The visual artist and filmmaker Osama Khalid, who went into exile in Egypt due to the civil war devastating Sudan, presents an exhibition that dignifies the invisible lives of his people and symbolizes the solo exhibition he was unable to hold upon graduating. The event is part of the international Artists at Risk program, an initiative that offers safe haven and artistic residencies to creators facing persecution or war conflicts to ensure the continuity of their work.

The opening of the exhibition will be led by the citizen platform NO CALLAREM, which defends freedom of expression and acts as a collective megaphone and shield against censorship in the field of culture.

The Gollut Festival presents this year's Career Achievement Award to Anna Solà and Marta Selva, founders of the Drac Màgic Cooperative and driving forces behind the Barcelona International Women's Film Festival. With this award, the festival recognizes more than three decades of absolute commitment to audiovisual media pedagogy, the promotion of films made by women, and the construction of a critical and feminist perspective in culture. Two pioneering and key figures without whom it would be impossible to understand the history and evolution of the cinematographic landscape in our country.

To celebrate it, we invite you to a "vermouth & conversation" event moderated by journalist Mònica Pagès. A relaxed and intimate talk where we will review their history, share reflections on cinema, feminism, and cultural activism, and be able to converse face-to-face with the award winners in an informal atmosphere.

We invite children, families, and passersby to create characters free of stereotypes and bring them to life using the stop-motion technique. In the first part (from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the Plaça del Mercat), we will experiment with art techniques such as printmaking and ink wash painting to design the backgrounds and figures.

In the second part (from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the theater), we will move into the hall to animate the characters frame by frame. The final result will be turned into a musical short film that will be screened at the festival.

A film micro-analysis to approach cinema. Led by Aleix Rodríguez Gracia, PhD candidate from the CINEMA group at Pompeu Fabra University.

What do movies tell us? How do they construct what they make us feel, think, or remember? And how can we approach them as viewers? Based on these questions, the talk proposes a brief journey through film history to explore some of its expressive resources and the ways in which its language has developed.

Through classic filmmakers like Jean Renoir or Otto Preminger, and moving through more groundbreaking approaches such as those of Jean-Luc Godard, tools will be offered to understand how films articulate perspectives, relationships, and meanings. By focusing on elements such as characters, narration, mise-en-scène, or shot composition, an analytical approach will be applied to Portrait of a Lady on Fire (Céline Sciamma, 2019)—a contemporary example that allows us to observe how cinema generates emotions, constructs meaning, and guides our experience as viewers.

Pomegranate, Flowers, and Magma is a live expanded cinema performance inspired by the myth of Persephone and the cycle of the seasons. Using 16mm analog projections and live sound creation, it builds a unique audiovisual experience that creates a dialogue with nature, time, and transformation.

The show will begin right after the awards ceremony and requires total darkness. Once the performance has started, late entry into the hall will not be permitted.

We close another edition of the Gollut Festival the best way we know how: by sharing. After the awards ceremony and the closing show, we will meet in the square to end the festival on a high note… Bring your own food and drinks and join us for this BYO dinner to celebrate together the films discovered, the conversations shared, and the new bonds created over these days. One last gathering to raise a glass, build community, and say goodbye to the festival until next year!
