In Artsakh, a region historically disputed between Armenia and Azerbaijan, childhood coexists daily with the uncertainty of war.

Through the eyes of eleven-year-old Vrej, we witness how the innocence of children’s games inevitably intersects with the echoes of a multigenerational military conflict. Filmmaker Sareen Hairabedian eschews wartime tropes to offer us an intimate, poetic, and deeply observational portrait of identity, the weight of territory, and growing up under an invisible yet constant threat.

This film is part of the Carta Blanca section, a special selection programmed by Anna Solà and Marta Selva, winners of the Gollut Festival Career Achievement Award (Premi Trajectòria).
